PTFA (Parents, Teachers & Friends Association)

The Parents, Teachers, and Friends Association (PTFA) is dedicated to enhancing the wellbeing of our students and the wider school community. We support this mission through funding special projects. Our funding comes from several annual fundraising events, with our three main initiatives being the Monster MTB Challenge, the Summer Concert, and our Bi-annual Gala.

How to Get Involved

1. Join the PTFA:
   ○ Membership is free and allows you to stay informed about PTFA activities without attending regular meetings. You can join sub-committees that align with your
interests, volunteer for fundraising events, and have voting rights at General Meetings.
   ○ To join, email us at PTFA@stpatstaupo.school.nz.
2. Join the Executive Committee:
   ○ This group manages the day-to-day operations of the PTFA and meets monthly, usually at 7 PM on the third Tuesday in the school staffroom. All PTFA members are welcome to attend.
   ○ Being on the Executive Committee is a fantastic way to make a direct impact on our school community.

Fundraising Events

Our primary goal is to raise funds that support every child in our school.
Major Fundraising events:
   ● The Summer Concert.
   ● Monster MTB Challenge.
   ● Bi-annual Twilight Gala.

These events have successfully raised substantial funds, enabling us to enhance our facilities. Currently, we are specifically fundraising for a new senior playground to provide our older students with a fantastic play space.

In addition to our major fundraising events, the PTFA also organizes smaller events throughout the year, including:
   ● Discos.
   ● Sausage sizzles.
   ● Juicy sales.
   ● Family fun events.

These events provide fun opportunities for families to come together while raising additional funds to support our school community. If you are interested in volunteering or participating in these events, please reach out to us! Your involvement makes a difference!
